Welcome to WesternMaine.com!!!
WesternMaine.com was founded in January 2006 with the website being launched in September 2007. This website will help you stay informed, find great deals in our classifieds section, advertise your business, and we even offer computer support if needed. We currently work with several prominent businesses and look forward to working with you as well! The advantage of being new is that there is plenty of opportunity for local businesses, groups, and communities to become involved in WesternMaine.com. If you have ideas, please click on the Contact Us link to give us your feedback. Thanks!
Did we mention that we got over 12,000 "hits" in July, two months before we officially launched the site?!

LIFE AFTER DEATH "Do you believe in life after death?" The boss asked one of his employees. "Yes, of course Sir," the new employee replied. "Well, then, that makes everything just fine," the boss went on. "After you left early yesterday to go to your grandmother's funeral, she stopped in to see you!"

If you've read anything at all about Content Management Systems (CMS), you'll probably know at least three things: CMS are the most exciting way to do business, CMS can be really, I mean really, complicated and lastly Portals are absolutely, outrageously, often unaffordably expensive.
Joomla is set to change all that ... Joomla is different from the normal models for portal software. For a start, it's not complicated. Joomla has been developed for the masses. It's licensed under the GNU/GPL license, easy to install and administer and reliable. Mambo doesn't even require the user or administrator of the system to know HTML to operate it once it's up and running. If you have a bunch of information that you want to change on a site then CMS's are for you. A CMS is a nice change from all that labor intensive HTML. If you want be a professional web master then by all means keep writing those pages in notepad. If you want to focus on your site, your information, and getting it updated fast then welcome to the world of CMS's and welcome to WesternMaine.com.
